Although UnderConstructionPage automatically stores all your leads in a local database, you can still connect MailChimp to process your newsletter subscriptions and contact forms.
- Login to your MailChimp account and navigate to Account – Extras – API keys
- Copy your MailChimp API key
- Go to Settings -> UnderConstruction -> Settings -> External Services and paste the API key
- Click on Refresh List button and wait for a few seconds
- Choose a list or segment from the dropdown list
- Turn on/off the Double Optin
- Click Save changes
Besides lists, UnderConstructionPage also pulls in list segments. Select them on step #6 if you want to add emails to a specific segment.
If you turn on the Double Optin, please note that MailChimp sends a confirmation email after each signup. In order to get the registered email on the list/segment, a user who registered will have to confirm his or her subscription from their inbox.
