By enabling Under Construction Mode users will not be able to access the site’s content. They will only see the under construction page that you can customize with the UnderConstructionPage plugin. It is possible to set exceptions.
Once you are ready to set your website under construction, it will be necessary just to push one button to activate the mode. There are two instances of the button:
After clicking one of the buttons, it will turn green and your site will be set under construction. Also, a new option will appear (if you click the button in the admin bar, you will be redirected to the settings screens) which will allow you to set HTTP response codes.
